Butt exercises – To get your butt in shape

A sculpted butt is a result of a disciplined exercise regimen and a healthy diet. There are various butt exercises that one can perform to give the butt a well toned look. Some of these butt exercises are mentioned below:

Lifting your legs

When it comes to butt exercises some of the best and the easiest are leg lifts. You can perform these exercises in all positions. You can start from the standing position. A leg lift exercise is simple enough wherein a leg is lifted in a straight manner. In this position the gluteal muscles can be tightened and flexed. You can continue a session of these butt exercises with a minimum of 15-20 reps.

Leg extensions

These are yet another type of butt exercises that will help in buttocks lift and the toning of your butt. To perform these exercises you need to get on your hands and knees. In this position, you need to lift your leg and at the same time flex and squeeze the gluteal muscles. It’s important to remember that you need to keep flexing and squeezing the muscles till you actually feel your butt getting tired.

Using weights

Butt exercises can also be performed using weights. You can add some weight to your ankle when you are performing leg lifts. These butt exercises involve the same motion but the addition of the ankle weight will help in the tiring of the muscles at a faster rate.

Toe tapping

It sounds like a dance form but toe tapping is an integral part of the various butt exercises that one can perform to get a toned butt. They are great butt exercise because they are easy. All you need to do is lie on your back and raise the knees. Your gluteal muscles will work during these butt exercises when your toes are gently tapped from side to side. The speed of the tapping dictates the fatigue level of the muscles of the butt. The more speed, the better.

The correct position is a prerequisite for successful butt exercises. These exercises need to be complemented by a healthy diet in order for them to be successful.
